Hotel rules and policies

The purpose of this document is to make your stay at the « Costa Arena Beach Hotel » (Costarena) more pleasant. The following internal rules meet this requirement and will be considered as a binding contract which must be respected by all. By ignoring this, the host renounces his contract of stay and risks eviction.


Respect for others:

Our hotel is a family-style place of rest, for this reason it is forbidden to scandalize, disturb or disrespect other guests.

Costarena is a non-smoking hotel, it is forbidden to introduce alcoholic drinks and pets are not allowed unless prior agreement.

It is the obligation of our guests to inform the reception of contagious diseases, deaths, infringements or crimes brought to their attention so that the company can take the appropriate measures.

If you have any complaints or suggestions to make to us, please contact reception only.


Costarena cannot be held responsible for the breach of contract in the event of force majeure such as: government decisions, fires, earthquakes, storms, strikes, public riots …

It cannot be held liable for services provided by third parties (babysitters, travel agencies, taxis, car rental, doctors, etc.) nor for the partial or total loss of goods or property values ​​of our guests. (use the safe). The same will apply to theft or damage to vehicles and objects left inside.

All damage or loss caused by the customer to property, property own goods and personal effects belonging to the hotel must be paid according to the value established by the company.


The accommodation contract may be terminated in the following cases: unfolding of the agreed term, violation of the pacts and regulations governing it, absence of the host for more than twenty four (24) hours without leaving notice or warning, or in the event of non-payment.

If, once the accommodation contract has expired, for whatever reason, the client refuses to withdraw from the establishment, Costarena may request the assistance of the authorities to proceed with the eviction without any additional procedure.

Fire extinguishers are located in hallways or on stairs.

A camera surveillance system watches over your safety. It works day and night; it allows you to view the events that took place in the previous 72 hours approximately.

At night, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., a professional night porter ensures your safety. He is authorized to give, after control, access to the hotel.

Reservations and cancellations

In high season (December 15 to April 30) and long weekends, the reservation will be final when you make the payment of 50% of the amount of the stay; the balance will be paid upon arrival at the hotel.

In low season (the rest of the year), the reservation will be final after payment of 20% of the amount of the stay; the balance will be paid on arrival at the hotel.

Arrivals and departures


The arrival time is fixed at 3:00 p.m. at the earliest.

To register at the hotel, any adult must be identified by a valid ID or passport; accommodation will be refused to customers who do not meet this requirement.

You will receive a package including the room key, air conditioning and TV controls, tickets for the beach towels, and the Wi-Fi access code.

The host will guarantee his reservations with a credit or debit card (Visa or MasterCard).


Departure time is no later than 12:00 noon.

When you leave the room, the contents of the package will be checked. Any damage or loss observed on this occasion will be billed to our guests.


Payments will be made in cash or with the payment card that served as a guarantee. Cheques are not accepted.

Use of rooms

  • The number of people staying in each room cannot exceed the capacity allocated by the hotel. The accommodation is not transferable. No user has the right to provide accommodation to any person without management’s consent and registration prior to reception. Visits to rooms occupied by customers are prohibited. The hotel reserves the right to request the evacuation of any person who is on the premises without authorization.
  • Each room has a safe, the administration declines all responsibility for the loss of jewellery, money, documents or other valuables of any kind kept in the mentioned rooms.
  • The rooms are cleaned every day from 9 am; please let us know, with the sign « service the room », when available. If you want to change your towel, please put it in the shower (and not on the floor) to inform our staff. Furthermore, it is forbidden (without exception) to remove towels from the room (like any other equipment) ).
  • For aesthetic reasons, please do not hang clothes or towels visibly from the outside.
  • As said previously, it is forbidden to smoke in the hotel facilities, let alone in the rooms; otherwise a sum of 50 USD will be charged to the client to cover the costs of cleaning up and deodorizing the room.
  • Do not bring food and even less eat in the rooms. Those who have a kitchen are allowed to eat on their terrace.
  • In the event that the guest leaves an item in his room, he can claim it within 30 days from the hotel, which will return it to him (postage charged to the guest).

Use of common areas

We ask our guests to dress appropriately for transit in common areas (neither bare feet nor topless), not to shout or use music and, in general, to refrain from any act that could disturb others.

Garden and swimming pool: open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., for adults and children (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult), the use of the swimming pool is the sole responsibility of the guest.

In exchange for tickets given at check-in, the reception will issue you a beach towel (between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.) which can only be used at the hotel (swimming pool and beach).

  • For hygienic reasons the use of the swimsuit is compulsory. It is therefore forbidden to enter the pool with underwear, t-shirts and shorts.
  • We must refrain from playing rough games, jumping into the swimming pool and more generally from practicing any activity that could harm the tranquillity of the place and other users.
  • The use of deckchairs and gymnastic equipment (strictly reserved for adults) is free. The management declines all responsibility for the improper use of the machines and the consequences that could occur.
  • Only food and beverages delivered by the hotel and the kiosk will be accepted in this area.

The massage pavilion: open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Contact reception to make an appointment.

Use of the kiosk

The kiosk, open every day of the year from 7:30 am to 10 pm, is located on the beach in front of the hotel.

Breakfast is served there every morning from 7:30 am to 10 am. Before you sit down at the table, you will need to indicate your room number. It is forbidden to take breakfast in the room or in any other place.

After 10 am, the kiosk, in addition to offering lunch and dinner there, will act as a bar (we do not issue alcoholic drinks to under 18).

You can consume it both inside the kiosk (swimsuit or topless prohibited) and outside where tables and benches are located. Only food and drinks delivered by the hotel are authorized. We decline all responsibility in relation to the consumption of food and drinks offered by street vendors, a practice that we strongly advise against.

Any consumption is presumed to imply the acceptance of the price which will be paid before or immediately after consumption. We don’t do credit.


Different activities can be offered by the hotel to our guests. The guest must be fit and in perfect health to participate in them, he must accept the risks and exempts Costarena from any responsibility associated to the activities.

The same will apply if these activities are offered through one or more service providers.
